Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in Islamabad on an official visit on Tuesday. Senior Pakistani officials welcomed him at Nur Khan Airbase. Moreover, the visit highlights continued diplomatic engagement between the two neighboring countries.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar personally received the Iranian foreign minister upon arrival. Additionally, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi also welcomed the visiting delegation.
Pakistan, Iran Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Relations
According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan and Iran share longstanding brotherly relations. These ties are rooted in shared history, religion, and cultural connections. Furthermore, both countries continue expanding cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
The Foreign Office said Pakistan highly values its relationship with Iran. Consequently, both sides remain committed to strengthening bilateral engagement through regular diplomatic exchanges.
Leaders Welcome Iranian Delegation
The Foreign Office spokesperson said the Pakistani leadership warmly welcomed Abbas Araghchi and his delegation. Officials expressed confidence that the visit would further deepen cooperation between the neighboring countries.
Pakistan and Iran have maintained close diplomatic coordination over the years. Therefore, both governments continue working together on regional, economic, and security matters of shared importance.
