United States Responds to Iran’s Presidential Trip to pakistan

WASHINGTON – The United States has responded to the news of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s planned visit to Pakistan on April 22.

During a news conference in Washington, Vedant Patel, the Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, commented on Iran’s actions. He expressed his belief that launching numerous UAVs and ballistic missiles towards Israel would not serve the interests or benefit the Palestinian people in any way.

Regarding any potential visits of other foreign ministers or leaders, he stated that he would allow their respective governments to address the matter specifically.

Regarding Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb’s trip to the United States, Vedant Patel explained that the minister is participating in a series of interactions, both within the U.S. Government’s interagency and with non-governmental organizations. This includes meetings with high-ranking officials from the State Department.

He mentioned that during our meetings, we encouraged Pakistan to make economic reforms a top priority and strive for expansion, in order to tackle their own economic difficulties.

Yesterday, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran is planned to visit Pakistan on April 22 for a three-day trip. He clarified that this visit is not related to the growing tensions between Tehran and Israel.

The foreign minister stated that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s trip to Pakistan was scheduled prior to any tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv. During his visit, President Raisi is set to engage in discussions with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, as reported by credible sources.

Discussions will encompass various subjects, including border security, the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, trade, economic collaboration, and shared areas of interest.

It is essential to note that Iran retaliated against Israel by launching an attack involving hundreds of drones and missiles. This action followed a suspected Israeli strike on Iran’s embassy compound in Syria, which resulted in the death of prominent Revolutionary Guards commanders.

However, the majority of Iranian drones and missiles were intercepted before reaching Israeli soil.
