Priyanka Chopra defends Malala Yousafzai, unfollows Hasan Minhaj over ‘petty’ banter

In an act of solidarity with Malala Yousafzai, Priyanka Chopra unfollowed US comedian Hasan Minhaj after he recently made a joke about not following the Nobel winner.

On Sunday, Minhaj posted a video saying, “On October 4th, I made a joke about Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala. I said she follows me on Instagram and I don’t follow her back. Then on October 5th, she retaliated (asking who is this man?). Instead of doing a runoff, she unfollowed me on Instagram. I am sorry Malala, follow me back. I don’t know if I’ll follow you through. I am that petty.”

Soon after, Malala posted the comedian’s video on her Instagram story and declared that she no longer follows Minhaj there.

The star of Quantico pledged her support for Malala.

She revealed that she doesn’t follow Minhaj by sharing a screenshot of the comedian’s Instagram account. The same girl, same @malala, wrote Priyanka. I suppose he chooses petty over humorous.
