Hindu Temple

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on February 14 during his two-day visit to the Emirates. This marks Modi’s seventh visit to the region since assuming office and his third in the last eight months. The trip is officially designated as his two-day visit to the kingdom.

The inaugural day will commence with PM Modi addressing the Indian community at Sheikh Zayed Sports City. Subsequently, he will inaugurate the BAPS Hindu temple in the UAE capital. The temple, a significant cultural milestone, is expected to foster interfaith harmony in the region.

During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to meet UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Nahyan to discuss mutual interests and explore avenues to strengthen the strategic ties between the two nations. Additionally, a meeting with Sheikh Rashid Al-Makhtum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, is on the agenda.

PM Modi’s participation in the World Government Summit 2024, where he is invited as the guest of honor by Sheikh Rashid, is a notable highlight. The Indian Prime Minister will deliver a special speech during this summit, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and collaboration.

The invitation for the temple inauguration came from BAPS temple representatives Swami Ishwarcharandas and Swami Brahmaviharidas. The event signifies a symbol of unity, cultural diversity, and the flourishing relationship between India and the UAE.

PM Modi’s visit is expected to strengthen diplomatic ties, promote cultural exchanges, and underscore the significance of religious tolerance and diversity in the global context. The inauguration of the Hindu temple is a historic moment, fostering a deeper connection between the two nations.
