Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Welcomes Cross-Border Jeep Rally Promoting Tourism and Friendship

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, welcomed a 20-member jeep rally delegation at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran. The rally, organized by Cross Route Club Lahore, embarked on a 25-day trip from the provincial capital of Punjab to Iran on November 29. The primary aim of the rally is to promote tourism and friendship between Pakistan and Iran.

Ambassador Mudassir Tipu expressed his appreciation for the initiative taken by the rally leader, Mukaram Tareen, and other members, including women and young children. He commended their efforts in traveling thousands of kilometers to strengthen the cultural and tourism ties between the two countries.

The rally members highlighted the breathtaking areas witnessed during their road travel from Pakistan to Iran, encouraging people from both nations to explore the diverse and beautiful landscapes. This initiative serves as a testament to the shared spirit of friendship and cultural exchange between Pakistan and Iran.

FIA Takes Bold Step in Combatting Human Trafficking with Launch of Dedicated Hotline

In another development, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Pakistan has launched the country’s first Trafficking In Persons (TIP) Hotline, providing a platform for the public to register complaints against human trafficking. To report cases of human trafficking, individuals can call the hotline at 111-247-786.

This initiative, developed in collaboration with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and funded by the Australian High Commission, introduces a national referral mechanism and a Management Information System (MIS) to enhance services for victims of human trafficking.

During the launch ceremony, Director General FIA Mohsin Hassan Butt emphasized the significance of the National TIP Hotline project in the ongoing efforts to combat trafficking crimes. The Australian deputy high commissioner praised the collaborative efforts of FIA and ILO, considering the hotline as a groundbreaking step to address human trafficking comprehensively.

The initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to victims and streamline the reporting and handling process for human trafficking cases across Pakistan.
