Pakistan Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression in Gaza

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Pakistan strongly criticized Israel’s military actions in Rafah city, Gaza, condemning the resulting destruction and loss of Palestinian lives. Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office, called for swift international intervention to stop what Pakistan views as Israeli crimes against humanity.

Baloch emphasized that Israel’s offensive in Rafah contradicts the provisional measures recommended by the International Court of Justice to protect Gaza’s people from genocide.

She expressed concerns that these military actions would worsen the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, persisting for the past four months, and pose a threat to ongoing efforts for a potential ceasefire.

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, at least 67 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air and sea attacks on Rafah early on Monday. The Israeli army claimed to have rescued two captives from a house in Rafah’s Shaboura neighborhood overnight, though Hamas downplayed the operation.

The Foreign Office spokesperson urged the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take immediate and decisive measures to halt Israeli aggression and address what Pakistan sees as continuous crimes against humanity.

Pakistan’s position aligns with its longstanding support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the necessity of global intervention to protect the rights and well-being of the Palestinian people.

This strong condemnation underscores Pakistan’s commitment to advocating for a just and peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the international stage.
