Iran’s Revolutionary Guard commander, Hossein Salami, has warned that Israel will face “destruction” following attack. In a message to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Salami emphasized that the “axis of resistance,” which includes Iran-aligned groups across the Middle East, would deliver a “crushing response” to these assaults.
The unprecedented attacks, which occurred over two days, resulted in 37 deaths and over 2,900 injuries, with many devices detonating simultaneously. Lebanon and Hezbollah have attributed the blasts to Israel, though Israel has not confirmed responsibility. Salami described the attacks as manifestations of Israel’s desperation and vowed that they would provoke significant retaliation.
In his recent speech, Nasrallah labeled the attacks a “declaration of war” and promised revenge, indicating that while Hezbollah faced a significant blow, they remain resolute against Israel. Israel’s defense minister, Yoav Gallant, stated that Hezbollah would “pay an increasing price” for their actions, as tensions continue to escalate along the border.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military reported conducting strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, further heightening the conflict in the region.
