Hollywood Production Team Set to Showcase Pakistan’s Cultural Richness in Upcoming Film

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar expressed optimism about the upcoming Hollywood film on Pakistan’s culture during a meeting with the visiting Hollywood production team in Islamabad. He highlighted that such a production would offer a global audience the opportunity to delve deeper into Pakistan’s rich cultural tapestry and present a softer, more positive image of the country.

In discussions with the Hollywood delegation, which included James MC Milan, Andrew James Fiero, Luisa Iskin, Sadia Ashraf, Badr Ikram, and Mashal Saqib, the minister emphasized Pakistan’s cultural heritage and history as significant sources of inspiration for the film.

Tarar hailed the Hollywood production team’s decision to focus on Pakistani culture, considering it a momentous occasion for the local film industry. He also briefed them on the progress and potential of the Pakistani film industry.

Acknowledging Pakistan’s unique cultural offerings in history, literature, music, and art, Tarar expressed confidence that the film would showcase the country’s diversity and beauty to the world.

Highlighting government initiatives to revitalize the cinema sector, Tarar mentioned tax incentives, the establishment of a film finance fund, and support for artists’ medical insurance. He underscored the importance of cinema as an industry, offering opportunities for youth and contributing to economic growth.

The minister assured the Hollywood team of full government support and cooperation from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In response, the Hollywood representatives expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and support received during their visit.

They lauded Pakistan’s cultural richness and filmmaking potential, pledging to assist in the growth of the local film industry. The team also expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended by the government, people, and local film industry during their stay, expressing enthusiasm about exploring Pakistan’s beautiful locations and heritage.
