Four Turkish motorcyclists touring Pakistan with Love

Four Turkish tourists are touring Pakistan on their motorcycles admiring all they have heard so much about and have desired to see.

Tankut Guzel and his travel partner Ahmet Bati crossed into Pakistan this week on their 1,100 CC Honda Africa Twin motorcycles, saying, “This visit was long overdue since we have already travelled through nearly all of Asia.”

“Pakistan has been on our minds ever since the devastating earthquake in February,” he continued.

The very next day, first responders and social professionals from this area arrived in Turkey to offer various forms of assistance.

We are so grateful and in love with you and your nation that we just had to visit.

Tankut’s wife Seden Guzel and her sister Serpil Kalayci also flew into Karachi to join the men on their trip of Pakistan, where they rented two brand-new Honda 125 motorcycles.

The four riders are instructors of riding in Turkey and are members of the Turkish Motorcycling Federation. Tankut is a mechanical engineer who also has an MBA, while Seden, his wife, is an economist, Serpil, her sister is a chemical engineer, and Ahmet is both an electrical and industrial engineer.

The four tourists are Razi Nayyar’s guests throughout their stay in Pakistan. Razi is the founder of the Motor Club of Pakistan and a fan of classic cars and heavy motorcycles.

To promote Pakistan’s safe and reputable image to the outside world, Nayyar organised a trip to Turkey and Iran from December 17, 2015, to January 24, 2016, visiting 27 towns in classic vehicles in Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey.

Tankut revealed that their plan involves riding through the Shandur Pass, Gilgit, the Hunza Valley, the Khunjerab Pass, and the major towns of Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Bahawalpur, and Multan, among others, on their way to Chitral to attend the Kalash Festival.

The men will ride back to Ankara via Balochistan and the Taftan border to enter Iran after the women fly back to Turkey.

Their journey is dubbed the “Pakistan-Turkey Friendship Ride,” and it will come to a conclusion in Karachi in about a month, around the first week of June.

The four riders did their research and read up on Pakistan before travelling there.

However, Ahmet reported that they were surprised to learn that motorcycles are not allowed on the motorway, so they had to take the National Highway, which made them feel a bit unsafe.

Four Turkish bikers

Four Turkish bikers are having a great time touring Pakistan while they are there. Mechanical engineer and MBA student Tankut Guzel and his friend Ahmet Bati rode their 1,100 CC Honda Africa Twin motorcycles to the Taftan border.

Seden Guzel, an economist, and Serpil Kalayci, a chemical engineer, handed two brand-new Honda 125 motorcycles to travel with the guys after flying into Karachi.

The riders are engineers, MBAs, and economists who are members of the Turkish Motorcycling Federation.

Razi Nayyar received four Turkish , the founder of the Motor Club of Pakistan.

To help Pakistan’s reputation abroad, Nayyar and other club members planned a trip to Turkey and Iran from December 17, 2015, to January 24, 2016.

The party intends to ride through the Shandur Pass, Gilgit, Hunza Valley, and Khunjerab Pass, among other Pakistani cities, before finishing the Friendship Ride in Karachi in June. They also intend to visit the Kalash Festival in Chitral. The guys will ride back to Ankara through Baluchistan and the Taftan border to enter Iran while the women will fly back to Turkey.

The men are travelling through Pakistan with Seden and Serpil, who are the daughters of motorbike riders and off-road rally drivers and are enjoying a lot.

They adore Pakistani cuisine, and some of their favourites are seekh kebab, shawarma, chicken karahi, prawn karahi, chicken tikka, lentils, sweet and sour soup, Bihari boti, and biryani. They have also been kurti shopping and had their hands painted with henna by Nayyar’s daughter.

The bikers are recording their tour with photos and films to share with people back home.

They also had Anjum Rana, a renowned truck artist in Pakistan, paint truck art on the cargo boxes of their motorcycles.
