ISLAMABAD: The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi has laid the foundation stone for its new Islamabad campus in DHA Islamabad Phase 5.
The project is being developed through a partnership with DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi to expand access to quality higher education.
IBA Karachi Executive Director Dr S. Akbar Zaidi, DHA Islamabadโs administrator and education sector representatives attended the ceremony.
Dr Zaidi said the campus would mark an important milestone for Pakistanโs education sector.
He added that students from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern areas would gain access to world-class education.
Campus to focus on leadership development
According to Dr Zaidi, the campus will focus on academic excellence, human capital development and leadership training.
He said these efforts would help prepare students to become future leaders.
โToday, the foundation of not just a campus but also the future leaders of Pakistan has been laid,โ he said.
The new facility will feature a modern academic block, research facilities, a library and an auditorium.
New campus to strengthen collaboration
Furthermore, the campus will include sports and residential facilities for students.
Dr Zaidi said the project would advance IBAโs focus on knowledge, research and practical impact.
He added that the campus would create new opportunities for partnerships with universities and industries.
The Islamabad campus could eventually become a major regional centre for higher education, research and leadership development.
The project is expected to broaden IBAโs educational reach while creating new academic opportunities for students across northern Pakistan.
