Content creator and former actor Arij Fatyma has opened up about her personal life and revealed that she is a cancer survivor. She also shared details about her life after stepping away from acting.
Arij shared a selfie on Instagram alongside a heartfelt message for her followers. She used the post to introduce herself to new followers and provide a glimpse into her life away from television.
“So many new faces have joined me locally — Pakistanis and non-Pakistanis alike — and it’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself. So, hello! Here’s a little about me,” she wrote.
Arij Fatyma Opens Up About Life in the US
Arij revealed that she was born in North Carolina and has Pakistani-Indian and Iranian roots. She spent more than a decade living in Pakistan before returning to the United States.
During her time in Pakistan, she built a career as a television actor. She later moved back to the US to start a family and pursue a different professional path.
After leaving the entertainment industry, Arij worked as a social media director and account executive at a Fortune 500 company. She now lives in Toledo, Ohio, where she balances several responsibilities.
“Today, I live a pretty suburban life in Toledo, Ohio, balancing motherhood, work, content creation, and everything in between,” she noted.
Her current work focuses on lifestyle content across social media. Through her platforms, she shares aspects of her daily life and experiences with her growing audience.
Former Actor Shares Cancer Survivor Story
Arij also revealed that she had faced a rare form of cancer. She said the experience changed how she viewed life and led her to appreciate her time more deeply.
“I was diagnosed with a rare cancer called choriocarcinoma, and that chapter changed my perspective on life in ways I never expected. I now live with one ovary, a lot more gratitude, and a much deeper appreciation for the time Allah has given me,” she said.
Her disclosure offered followers a more personal look at the challenges she has experienced away from the spotlight. She described her current phase as a healing journey while focusing on family, work and content creation.
The revelation also showed a different side of Arij beyond her earlier television career. She has since shifted her attention toward lifestyle content and her life in the United States.
