The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced office appointment booking through its Pak ID mobile app.
The new feature allows citizens to schedule visits from home. Therefore, applicants can avoid long queues and reach NADRA offices at their assigned times.
NADRA has also launched an updated version of the Pak ID app. The latest version includes several additional services for citizens.
According to NADRA spokesperson Shabahat Ali, users can now lodge complaints with the FIA through the application. They can also correct family records and upload signatures digitally.
The application additionally provides access to digital identity documents. Citizens can use these services without visiting an office for every requirement.
Check ID Card Application Status Online
The updated Pak ID app also allows citizens to track their national identity card applications from home.
Users need to log into the application and select the tracking option. They can then enter the tracking ID and PIN printed on their receipt.
Citizens can also check their application status through SMS. They can send their tracking ID to 8400 or call 1777.
Meanwhile, NADRA has reminded citizens to collect their identity cards promptly after issuance.
Under existing policy, NADRA destroys an identity card if the applicant fails to collect it within three months of the final delivery date.
Applicants must then submit a fresh application and pay the required fee again.
The latest Pak ID update aims to make NADRA services more convenient by reducing office visits and simplifying several routine processes.
