Honda Atlas Cars has announced significant price cuts for two HR-V variants, giving buyers a limited-time opportunity to purchase the vehicles at reduced rates.
The company has lowered the price of the Honda HR-V e by Rs. 1,070,000, while the HR-V VTi-S gets a Rs. 500,000 reduction. However, Honda said the revised prices apply for a limited period and limited stocks.

With the latest adjustment, the HR-V e is now available for Rs. 9,299,000. Meanwhile, the HR-V VTi-S has dropped to Rs. 7,299,000.
Why Did Honda Cut HR-V Prices?
The latest reduction comes after major changes in the pricing of Honda’s hybrid variant earlier this year.
The HR-V e previously sold for Rs. 8,999,000. However, Honda increased its price by Rs. 1,370,000 in July following the expiry of a sales tax concession for hybrid vehicles.
As a result, the price rose to Rs. 10,369,000. Honda applied the increased price to new orders placed from July 1, 2026.
The revised pricing also covered back orders where customers had already made partial payments.
Government Reduces Sales Tax on Hybrid Vehicles
The pricing situation changed again after the government revised the sales tax applicable to locally manufactured hybrid electric vehicles.
The Finance Division reduced the sales tax on locally manufactured HEVs with engine capacities of up to 2,000cc from 25% to 18%.
The change came through S.R.O. 1525(1)/2026, issued on September 13, 2026. The revised tax rate took immediate effect.
Following the tax adjustment, Honda has now reduced the price of the HR-V e by Rs. 1.07 million.
New HR-V Prices Apply for Limited Stocks
The latest reduction gives prospective buyers a lower entry price for both affected HR-V variants. However, the company has specified that the revised rates are available for a limited time and limited stocks.
Therefore, the new prices may not remain available indefinitely.
For now, the Honda HR-V e costs Rs. 9.299 million, while the HR-V VTi-S is priced at Rs. 7.299 million after their respective price reductions.
