The Hina Javed murder case has taken a new turn after a suspect’s father claimed police were falsely blaming his son for the killing.
Muhammad Arshad, father of domestic worker Zeeshan Arshad, rejected allegations against his son. He accused investigators of trying to make Zeeshan the main suspect.
Father Claims Son Was Forced to Help
According to Arshad, Zeeshan worked at Hina Javed’s house for seven months.
He claimed his son heard an argument between Hina and her husband, Faisal Asghar, on August 20.
Arshad alleged that Faisal chased Hina and ordered Zeeshan to stop her.
Zeeshan initially refused to interfere, his father claimed. However, Faisal allegedly beat him and threatened him with a gun.
Arshad insisted that his son acted under pressure rather than willingly joining the alleged crime.
Police Accused of Torture During Investigation
Arshad also accused police of torturing Zeeshan during custody.
He claimed investigators pressured his son to confess to the murder.
Furthermore, Arshad rejected police claims about Zeeshan’s alleged criminal history. He said his son was approximately 18 or 19 years old and had no previous criminal cases.
Investigation Continues Into Hina Javed’s Death
Hina Javed, 45, died at her Rawalpindi residence in August.
Her post-mortem report revealed a fractured neck bone and injuries to her ribs and hip.
Police arrested Faisal and Zeeshan during the murder investigation.
Earlier, investigators alleged that Faisal offered Zeeshan money to assist in the killing.
However, Arshad disputed that account and blamed Faisal for the murder.
His allegations remain unverified as the investigation continues.
