The district and sessions court issued the order on Wednesday after police completed their physical remand. Hina Javed, a digital media executive, was found dead at her home in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area on August 20.
Her body was found tied to a shower inside the bathroom, prompting police to launch an investigation into her death.
Husband, Domestic Worker Sent on Judicial Remand
The suspects include Hina’s husband, Faisal Asghar, and their domestic worker, Zeeshan.
Both men appeared before Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Qasim Javed after completing four days of physical remand.
During the hearing, police requested judicial remand for both suspects as the investigation continued.
The court accepted the request and ordered that Asghar and Zeeshan be sent to jail.
Police allege that Asghar killed his wife with assistance from Zeeshan.
According to police sources, Zeeshan has confessed to strangling Hina during a marital dispute between her and Asghar.
The alleged confession has become a key part of the investigation as police continue examining the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death.
What Police Say Happened During the Dispute
According to the sources, Zeeshan told investigators that Hina attempted to flee during the altercation.
He allegedly said that he and Asghar restrained her after she tried to escape.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the alleged altercation and the events that followed.
The case has therefore moved into another stage after the suspects completed their physical remand.
Earlier, on August 29, a Rawalpindi court had extended the physical remand of Asghar and Zeeshan by four days.
The extension allowed investigators additional time to question both suspects and pursue further aspects of the murder investigation.
How Police Found Hina’s Body
The circumstances surrounding the discovery of Hina’s body also remain part of the investigation.
According to police sources, Hina’s father-in-law alerted police after claiming that thieves had broken into the house.
Police reached the residence following the alert and searched the premises. They found Hina’s body tied to a shower inside the bathroom.
The discovery led investigators to examine the circumstances inside the house and question those connected to the incident.
With the physical remand now complete, both prime suspects have been moved to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, police are continuing their investigation into the allegations surrounding Hina Javed’s death.
