Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir following Pakistan’s announcement regarding the US-Iran peace agreement.
In a message shared early Monday on X, Naqvi praised the military leadership and linked Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to progress in regional peace initiatives.
His remarks came after reports of an agreement framework between the United States and Iran aimed at ending tensions and moving negotiations forward.

Reacting to developments surrounding the peace understanding, Mohsin Naqvi expressed strong appreciation for Field Marshal Asim Munir’s role.
Sharing a picture of the military chief on X, the interior minister wrote:
“He did it again.”
Naqvi further added:
“Not just for his country this time, but for the world.”
His comments reflected support for Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement during the period of heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran.

On two occasions, he accompanied Field Marshal Asim Munir during official visits to Tehran.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also travelled to Tehran twice during the period of conflict and diplomatic activity.
During those visits, he held meetings with the Iranian leadership.
The discussions focused on advancing diplomatic communication and supporting peace efforts.
According to the interior minister’s account, those engagements represented an important part of Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach.
