Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly changing their approach toward the royal family after years of public tension and criticism.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020. They later moved to the United States and began a financially independent life with their children.

William and Harry’s Bond Remains Strained
Prince William and Prince Harry were once seen as deeply close brothers. Their bond became stronger after the death of their mother, Princess Diana.
In 2017, William said the brothers had been brought closer by difficult circumstances. During the same conversation, Catherine also described them as very close.
However, that relationship later changed. In his interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry said there was “space” between him and William. He said he loved his brother but admitted they were on different paths.
Harry also claimed that his father and brother were trapped within the royal system. That statement reportedly upset William.
Royal author Russell claimed William felt betrayed by Harry’s remarks. Reports also suggested that William was angered by the Sussexes’ interview and its impact on the royal family.
New Efforts May Focus on Rebuilding Ties
The royal rift deepened further after Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare. In the book, Harry described William as both his beloved brother and his “arch nemesis.”
He also wrote about an alleged physical confrontation with William at Nottingham Cottage. Harry claimed the argument involved comments about Meghan.
Now, reports suggest Harry and Meghan may be reconsidering their public strategy. Insiders claim the couple may be looking to reduce tensions and avoid further damage to family relations.
While no formal reconciliation has been confirmed, the shift may signal a new phase in the Sussexes’ relationship with the royal family.
