Pakistani singers Hamza Malik and Zain Zohaib have achieved another milestone with their hit song Alfaaz. The track has topped the weekly chart of Genius, a popular online platform for song lyrics.
The achievement marks another major success for the Urdu-Punjabi song. It has steadily climbed the platform’s rankings since entering the chart in October.
Alfaaz first appeared at number six on October 5. It then spent two weeks at fifth position before climbing to third place. This week, the song secured the top spot.
Alfaaz Beats International Music Releases
The latest Genius chart featured several internationally recognised songs alongside Alfaaz. Tate McRae’s Housewife ranked third, while Radiohead’s Creep secured fourth position.
Eminem’s classic track Lose Yourself occupied fifth place. The rankings highlight the Pakistani song’s growing popularity among international music listeners.
Moreover, Alfaaz continues performing strongly on other streaming platforms. It remained the most popular song in Pakistan and India on Tuesday.
Pakistani Song Continues Global Chart Success
The track also maintained its position among Spotify’s Global Top 50 songs. It climbed to number 38, further strengthening its international presence.
Additionally, Alfaaz held second position on the UK’s Official Asian Music Chart. Its growing popularity has established it as a major Pakistani music success.
The song was produced by Giraffe, a studio co-founded by musician Zulfiqar J Khan, popularly known as Xulfi. The studio described its performance as an unprecedented achievement for Pakistani music.
This marks Giraffe’s second major chart success following Majboor. That song, performed by Sheheryar Rehan and Zoha Waseem, also topped Spotify’s Pakistan chart last year.
The studio said both tracks followed different creative journeys. However, their success demonstrates how Pakistani music continues reaching audiences beyond national borders.
