PIA to Launch Pre-Hajj Flight Operations from April 29

Pre-Hajj Flight Operations

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national flag carrier, is all set to commence its pre-Hajj flight operations starting April 29, providing a crucial travel service for thousands of Pakistani pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.

According to the announced schedule, PIA’s first Hajj flight will take off from Islamabad on April 29. On the same day, additional flights will depart from Quetta and Multan, transporting pilgrims directly to the holy city of Madinah.

The flight operations will continue with a departure from Lahore scheduled for April 30, followed by another flight from Karachi on May 2.

In preparation for the busy Hajj season, PIA has implemented a series of special arrangements aimed at ensuring a smooth, safe, and comfortable journey for the pilgrims. Dedicated staff and services have been assigned to assist travelers throughout the process, from check-in to boarding.

Meanwhile, a 47-member Saudi delegation is expected to arrive at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Sunday as part of the “Road to Makkah” project — an initiative designed to streamline the immigration process for pilgrims. The delegation will first land at Islamabad International Airport earlier in the day before continuing to Karachi later in the afternoon.

During their visit, the Saudi officials will assess the immigration facilities established under the “Road to Makkah” initiative. This project enables Pakistani pilgrims to complete their immigration clearance at Karachi Airport before departing for Saudi Arabia.

As a result, pilgrims will be able to bypass immigration procedures upon arrival in the Kingdom, allowing them to exit the airport more quickly and begin their pilgrimage without unnecessary delays.

The launch of PIA’s pre-Hajj operations, combined with the implementation of the “Road to Makkah” project, is expected to significantly enhance the travel experience for Pakistani pilgrims this year.
