The application process will now begin on August 18, instead of the previously announced date of August 17.
Prospective pilgrims can submit their applications through designated Habib Bank Limited (HBL) branches or through the online application system.
Applications will follow a first-come, first-served process. Therefore, intending pilgrims may need to apply promptly once the process opens.
Hajj 2027 Applications to Continue Until Quota Is Filled
The ministry will continue receiving applications until the governmentโs allocated Hajj quota is filled.Once the available quota reaches its limit, officials will stop accepting further applications under the government scheme.
Pakistanโs total Hajj quota for 2027 has been stated as 179,210 pilgrims. According to the figures provided by the ministry, 60 percent of the quota has been allocated to the government scheme. Meanwhile, the remaining 40 percent has been allocated to the private Hajj scheme.
However, the figures cited for the two schemes require clarification. The ministryโs figures put the government schemeโs quota at 177,526 pilgrims. At the same time, 71,684 seats have reportedly been allocated to the private scheme.
Together, these figures exceed the stated overall quota of 179,210 pilgrims. Therefore, an official clarification may be required to resolve the discrepancy.
Hajj 2027 Payment System Will Have Two Instalments
The government has also introduced a revised payment mechanism for Hajj 2027. Under the new arrangement, pilgrims will pay their Hajj expenses in two equal instalments.
The first half of the total amount will be paid when applicants submit their applications. The remaining half will then be collected through the second instalment.
This arrangement is intended to divide the financial burden for intending pilgrims rather than requiring the entire amount upfront.
HBL Selected for Hajj Application Payments
The Ministry of Religious Affairs had earlier decided to streamline Hajj-related financial transactions through a single banking channel. Under this arrangement, HBL has been selected to collect Hajj payments.
Consequently, intending pilgrims will be able to submit their applications and dues through HBL branches or online.
The ministry is expected to provide additional details about the application process and payment schedule through its official platforms.
Pilgrims should therefore check the ministryโs official announcements before submitting applications or making payments.
Pilgrims Warned Against Fraudulent Hajj Advertisements
With Hajj applications approaching, intending pilgrims have also been advised to remain cautious about fraudulent advertisements.
Fake Hajj offers and misleading information can circulate through social media during the application season. Therefore, applicants should verify application details through authentic Ministry of Religious Affairs platforms.
They should also confirm payment instructions before transferring any money or sharing personal information. The revised schedule gives intending pilgrims another day to prepare for the application process.
With applications opening on August 18, prospective pilgrims should keep the required information ready and monitor official announcements.
The first-come, first-served arrangement also makes timely submission particularly important. At the same time, the two-instalment payment system offers pilgrims a different way to manage their Hajj expenses.
As the application process begins, official updates will remain important for understanding the final payment schedule, quota details and application requirements.
