Security forces have killed 11 terrorists during separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The operations targeted militants linked to groups described by authorities as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to security sources, the operations took place in South Waziristan and Bannu in KP. Another operation targeted militants in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.
In Bannu, security forces killed two terrorists during an operation. Authorities also recovered weapons and ammunition from the area.
Security personnel later detonated explosives to destroy the militants’ hideout. The action aimed to prevent the location from being used again for militant activities.
Five Militants Killed in South Waziristan
Security forces also conducted an intelligence-based operation in Ladha, located in South Waziristan. During the operation, personnel killed five militants. The action followed intelligence regarding the presence of suspected terrorists in the area.
The operation forms part of continued security efforts against militant groups operating in the region.
Authorities have increased intelligence-based actions to identify and target militant networks before they can carry out attacks.
Four Militants Killed in Khuzdar
Meanwhile, security forces conducted another operation against militants described as Fitna al-Hindustan in Khuzdar district. Four militants were killed during the operation. Security forces also targeted the militants’ hideout using helicopters.
Gunship helicopters were used during one of the operations to strike militant positions. The aerial action helped security forces target suspected hideouts and militant concentrations.
The latest operations bring the reported number of militants killed across the three locations to 11.
Security forces continue to conduct intelligence-based operations in areas where militant activity remains a security concern. Authorities are also working to clear hideouts and recover weapons used by militant groups.
The operations highlight ongoing efforts to disrupt militant networks in KP and Balochistan and prevent further attacks in the country.
