Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah has approved the summary for forming a 12-member provincial cabinet.
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan submitted the summary, which completes another phase of the provincial government’s formation process.
The new cabinet includes members from different regions of Gilgit-Baltistan. Therefore, the government aims to maintain equal representation across major divisions.
Cabinet Includes Members from Three Regions
According to official sources, the cabinet includes five ministers from the Baltistan Division and five from the Gilgit Division.
Additionally, two ministers will represent the Diamer-Astore Division. This distribution ensures that all major regions receive representation in the provincial setup.
Following the governor’s approval, the cabinet department will issue an official notification to announce the final cabinet structure.
Names of New Cabinet Members Announced
Sources said the cabinet will include Syed Jalal, Zulfiqar Murad, Haji Dilpazeer, Muhammad Naseem, Syed Tauqeer and Haji Anwar.
Moreover, Raja Nasir, Waqar Hassan, Muhammad Ali Akhtar, Saadia Danish and Aman Ali will also join the provincial cabinet.
The newly formed cabinet will focus on regional development, governance improvements and public welfare projects.
Furthermore, the inclusion of representatives from different divisions reflects the government’s efforts to address issues across Gilgit-Baltistan.
