The federal government has announced transfers, postings and retirement decisions involving several officers across different departments. The Establishment Division issued notifications on October 9, 2026, outlining administrative changes in federal ministries, educational institutions and healthcare facilities.
According to the notifications, Abdul Jabbar, Joint Secretary of the Finance Division, has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division. Meanwhile, Section Officer Sania Akram has been transferred from the Establishment Division to the Climate Change Division.
Several Officers Receive New Government Assignments
Additionally, Muhammad Awais Hashmi, an Officer on Special Duty (OSD), has been appointed as Section Officer in the Establishment Division. These changes form part of the government’s latest administrative adjustments across federal departments.
In another development, Assistant Professor Tehseen Zahra has been transferred from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to the Federal Directorate of Education. The move places her in a federal education institution following the latest government notification.
Healthcare Transfers And Retirement Notification Issued
Furthermore, the government has announced transfers involving two healthcare professionals. Pharmacist Asma Maqsood has been transferred from the Punjab government to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
Similarly, Medical Officer Dr Tauseef Ahmed has been transferred from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to Polyclinic Hospital Islamabad. These postings will place both professionals in federal healthcare facilities to continue their respective duties.
Meanwhile, Azmat Hussain Khan, Senior Joint Secretary of the Water Resources Division, is scheduled to retire from government service on March 9, 2027. The notification formally records his upcoming retirement date.
The latest decisions cover multiple administrative areas, including finance, climate change, education and healthcare. The Establishment Division has issued the relevant notifications to formalise the appointments, transfers and retirement arrangements.
