Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a decline on Tuesday after international bullion rates dropped. The local market recorded a decrease of Rs4,300 per tola, bringing the gold price down to Rs427,436.
The latest rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) showed a similar trend for smaller quantities. The price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs3,687 and reached Rs366,457.
The decline followed a fall in international gold prices. Global markets recorded a decrease of $43, bringing gold rates to $4,050 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Gold Market Faces Pressure After Recent Gains
The latest decline came after gold prices increased on Monday. During the previous session, gold gained Rs4,000 per tola and reached Rs431,736.
However, market trends changed on Tuesday as international prices weakened. The global decline directly affected Pakistanโs bullion market, causing local rates to move downward.
Gold prices often respond to changes in international markets, currency movements, and investor demand. Therefore, fluctuations in global bullion rates can quickly influence prices in local markets.
Silver Prices Also Record Decline
Alongside gold, silver prices also decreased during Tuesdayโs trading session. The price of silver dropped by Rs174 per tola, reaching Rs6,223.
Market analysts continue to monitor global economic developments that influence precious metal prices. Factors such as investor confidence, international tensions, and currency movements can impact buying and selling trends.
Meanwhile, jewellery markets in Pakistan continue to adjust according to daily changes in international and domestic rates. Consumers and traders are closely watching price movements before making investment or purchase decisions.
The latest decline reflects the connection between Pakistanโs bullion market and global trends. Any major shift in international gold prices may continue to influence local rates in the coming days.
