Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp decline on Tuesday as investors remained cautious ahead of important US economic announcements.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,600 per tola, reaching Rs435,436.
Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams dropped by Rs3,086 to Rs373,316. Silver remained unchanged at Rs6,234 per tola.
International Gold Prices Remain Uncertain
Global gold prices showed limited movement as investors awaited fresh signals from the US Federal Reserve.
Spot gold traded near $4,138.54 per ounce, while US gold futures declined slightly to $4,157.90.
Market participants are closely watching upcoming US inflation figures and interest rate decisions.
Higher interest rates can reduce gold’s appeal because investors may prefer assets offering interest income.
Experts Predict Major Gold Price Movement
Adnan Agar, Director at Interactive Commodities, said international gold prices remained within a narrow trading range.
He identified $4,060 to $4,220 per ounce as the broader trading range.
According to his analysis, a decline below $4,000 could push prices toward $3,700–$3,800.
However, a rise above $4,250–$4,280 could open the possibility of gold reaching $4,400 or higher.
These figures represent market scenarios rather than guaranteed forecasts.
Pakistani Rupee Strengthens Slightly
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee gained three paisa against the US dollar.
The currency closed at Rs276.87, compared with Rs276.90 previously.
Investors now await inflation data and Federal Reserve signals to determine gold’s next direction.
