Gold prices recorded a significant decline in Pakistan on Wednesday as international bullion rates also moved lower.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 3,100 per tola on October 7, 2026.
Following the decline, one tola of gold was priced at Rs. 434,436 in the local market.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased sharply.
It dropped by Rs. 2,658 to Rs. 372,458.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs. 2,436. The new price stood at Rs. 341,432.
Silver prices also moved lower during the latest trading session.
The price of 24-karat silver declined by Rs. 100 per tola. It settled at Rs. 6,488.
Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat silver lost Rs. 86 and reached Rs. 5,562.
The decline in Pakistan followed weaker prices in the international bullion market.
Global gold prices fell by $31 per ounce. Gold was trading at $4,119 per ounce, according to the reported rates.
International silver prices also declined by $1 per ounce to $60.10.
Local gold and silver prices are closely linked with movements in international markets and domestic currency conditions.
Changes in global bullion rates can therefore quickly influence prices paid by Pakistani buyers.
The latest decline may offer some relief to consumers after periods of elevated precious metal prices.
However, gold prices can remain volatile because of global economic conditions, currency movements and investor demand.
The latest rates were issued based on 24-karat purity standards for both gold and silver.
