Gold prices continued their sharp upward trend in Pakistan on Wednesday.
The price of gold jumped by Rs7,900 per tola in the local market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, 24-karat gold reached Rs457,236 per tola.
Gold Prices Rise Sharply
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased significantly.
The 10-gram gold rate rose by Rs6,773 to reach Rs392,006.
The latest increase follows another strong rise in international bullion prices.

In the international bullion market, gold prices climbed by $79 per ounce.
The global gold price reached $4,347 per ounce.
The continued rise in international prices has pushed domestic gold rates to new highs.
Silver Also Becomes More Expensive
Silver prices also increased in the local market.
The price of silver rose by Rs140 per tola.
It reached Rs6,942 per tola, according to the association.
