Gold prices fell sharply in Pakistan on Tuesday, with the 24-karat rate dropping by Rs4,000 per tola.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, 24-karat gold settled at Rs449,336 per tola.
The decline followed a drop in international gold prices.
24-Karat Gold Rates Fall
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs3,429 to Rs385,233.
Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell by Rs3,143 to Rs353,143.
The latest decline reflects weakness in the international gold market.
Global Gold Price Drops $40
In the international market, gold prices declined by $40 per ounce.
The international gold rate stood at $4,268 per ounce, according to the association.
The global decline contributed to the fall in domestic gold prices.
Silver Prices Remain Stable
Silver prices remained unchanged in both local and international markets.
The price of silver stood at Rs6,802 per tola in Pakistan.
The price of 10 grams of silver remained at Rs5,831.
International silver prices also remained stable at $63.23 per ounce.
