Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Gohar Ali Khan has called for an All Parties Conference (APC) as debate over emergency-related issues continues across the country.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Gohar said Pakistan’s political leadership should come together to discuss national challenges through dialogue. He argued that major constitutional and security issues require a collective response instead of deepening political divisions.
Gohar Urges Political Consensus
Gohar said an APC would provide an opportunity for all political parties to exchange views on the current situation. According to him, national stability depends on consultation and cooperation among political stakeholders.
He stressed that decisions affecting the country’s future should involve broad political participation. He also encouraged leaders to prioritise dialogue over confrontation.
Emergency Debate Continues
The PTI chairman’s remarks came as discussions over emergency-related matters continued in political circles. The debate has focused on constitutional questions, governance and the broader security situation.
Gohar maintained that Parliament and political parties should play an active role in addressing these concerns. He argued that inclusive discussions could help reduce tensions and build confidence among stakeholders.
PTI Seeks Dialogue on National Issues
The PTI chief reiterated that his party supports discussions on matters affecting the country’s future. He said political differences should not prevent leaders from engaging on issues of national importance.
His call for an APC adds to ongoing political discussions as parties continue debating constitutional developments and the security situation.
For now, no formal announcement has been made regarding the proposed conference. Whether such a meeting takes place will depend on the response of other political parties and the government.
