Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 FE could introduce a new Galaxy AI feature designed to make video editing easier for users.
The feature, called My FanCam, reportedly allows users to create subject-focused clips from videos they have already recorded.
According to a reported leak, the Galaxy S26 FE could support the feature when it launches with Samsung’s upcoming software.
Galaxy S26 FE May Support My FanCam
The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to launch with One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, bringing several new software features.
Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip models are also expected to receive the new software.
Among the expected additions is My FanCam, which could offer a more convenient way to edit videos using artificial intelligence.
According to a video reportedly spotted by leaker Tarun Vats, the Galaxy S26 FE will support the feature.
My FanCam allows users to select a person or subject within an existing video and generate a new focused clip.
The AI then follows that selected subject throughout the footage, even when the person moves around the frame.
How My FanCam Differs From Auto Framing
Although My FanCam resembles Samsung’s Auto Framing feature, the two tools work at different stages of video recording.
Auto Framing tracks a selected subject while users are actively recording a video with their phone.
My FanCam, however, works with footage that users have already captured and stored on their device.
Instead of tracking the subject during recording, the AI creates a new version that keeps the selected person or subject in focus.
This approach could make the feature particularly useful when users cannot keep their camera perfectly centred.
For instance, it could help when recording sports events, concerts or family gatherings where subjects frequently move.
More Galaxy Devices Could Receive the Feature
The reported addition of My FanCam to the Galaxy S26 FE would follow Samsung’s existing approach to Fan Edition smartphones.
Samsung’s Fan Edition models have generally received several Galaxy AI features introduced on its flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Z devices.
Therefore, the new feature could eventually reach a wider selection of Samsung smartphones.
Samsung is also expected to make My FanCam available on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The feature could potentially reach some older flagship models through One UI 9 as well.
However, My FanCam has reportedly not appeared in the current One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung’s AI Video Editing Could Get More Useful
If Samsung expands My FanCam across its flagship lineup, the feature could become a practical addition to Galaxy AI.
Users could create subject-focused clips without manually tracking, cropping or editing moving subjects throughout an existing recording.
That could make the tool especially appealing to people who regularly record sports, performances and other fast-moving moments.
For now, however, the reported Galaxy S26 FE support remains unconfirmed.
