He first thanked producers Momina Duraid and Nina Kashif for bringing the story to audiences.
Ahsan said society needs stories that encourage viewers to reflect on themselves and their surroundings. He also thanked Kashif personally for trusting him with the lead role.

Aangan, his popular pre-Partition period drama, is set to return to HUM TV after its original 2018 run.
The drama is directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin and is based on Khadija Mastoor’s 1962 novel of the same name. The cast includes Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir, Mawra Hocane, Sonya Hussyn and Ahsan Khan. The return of Aangan also brings another connection for fans of Aap Ki Izzat, as Mawra Hocane is Urwa Hocane’s sister.
