Pakistan’s security forces killed four suspected militants during an intelligence-based operation in Mastung, Balochistan, as authorities continued their campaign against militant groups in the region. The operation also led to the recovery of weapons and the detention of several suspects.
According to security sources, the operation targeted members of the group identified by authorities as Fitna al-Hindustan. Several militants were reportedly injured during the exchange, while security personnel arrested individuals accused of facilitating the group.
Officials said a large cache of Indian-made arms and ammunition was recovered from the killed militants. The seized weapons will be examined as part of the ongoing investigation.
Intelligence-Based Operations Continue in Balochistan
Security officials said intelligence-based operations have intensified under Operation Al Azm to counter militant activities across Balochistan.
The sources added that operations would continue until terrorist networks are dismantled and lasting peace and stability return to the region.
The latest action follows another intelligence-based operation conducted in Mastung’s Khad Kocha area on Thursday. During that operation, security forces killed six suspected militants and arrested several others.
Authorities also detained male and female suicide bombers, along with an alleged facilitator, after acting on intelligence reports.
According to officials, both operations were launched after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan.
Mohsin Naqvi Commends Security Forces
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for carrying out the successful operation in Mastung. He appreciated their professionalism and commitment in tackling terrorism.
In his statement, Naqvi said the entire nation stands with the country’s security forces in the fight against terrorism.
He added that security personnel continue to conduct effective intelligence-led operations across Balochistan to eliminate militant threats.
The interior minister also stated that cooperation between Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij would not succeed in disrupting Pakistan’s peace and stability.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations until militant networks are eliminated and the security situation across the region is fully restored.
