Former Sindh Police SSP Niaz Ahmed Khosa has raised fresh questions about the Mir Raza Ali case. He suggested that the 25-year-old entrepreneur might still be alive.
Khosa shared his theory through a detailed social media post. He alleged that the case showed signs of deliberate manipulation and identity fraud.
Mir Raza, an IBA graduate, reportedly faced significant financial liabilities. Khosa suggested that financial pressures could have motivated someone to stage his death.
He also referenced a recent Surjani Town case involving an alleged fake death scheme. According to Khosa, that incident could provide a possible precedent.
Former Officer Questions Remains And Evidence
Khosa questioned the identity of remains exhumed from a PECHS cemetery. He claimed the body showed severe physical distortion and chemical damage.
He alleged that the fingerprints had been destroyed and the face heavily disfigured with acid. However, these claims remain subject to verification through forensic investigation.
Khosa also raised concerns about the initial medico-legal documentation. He claimed the post-mortem report incorrectly recorded the entry and exit wound dimensions.
According to him, the reported bullet trajectory indicated a shot from behind. Therefore, he said the evidence did not support a suicide theory.
DNA Testing Could Determine Victimโs Identity
Khosa also discussed Mir Razaโs reported life insurance coverage. He claimed suicide could prevent insurance payments, potentially creating a financial motive.
Meanwhile, investigators are pursuing DNA testing to establish the remainsโ identity. SSP Samiullah Soomro is leading the ongoing investigation.
Police have collected DNA samples from Mir Razaโs parents for comparison. The final forensic report could therefore determine whether the remains belong to Mir Raza.
Khosa said some legal experts also considered the possibility that Mir Raza remains alive. However, authorities must establish the claim through verified forensic evidence.
The case remains under investigation, while the DNA results could provide crucial answers.
