LAHORE: A fire incident at Fried Deek Broast Restaurant on Lahore’s Mall Road caused panic among nearby residents and visitors on Tuesday. The blaze started on the third floor of the building, affecting the restaurant’s kitchen area.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the location shortly after receiving information about the fire. The emergency crews acted quickly and brought the flames under control.
Authorities reported no loss of life in the incident. Rescue officials continued monitoring the site after extinguishing the fire to ensure complete safety.
Rescue Teams Respond to Restaurant Fire
According to initial details, the fire started inside the restaurant’s kitchen. Firefighters worked to prevent the flames from spreading to other parts of the building.
The quick response from Rescue 1122 helped control the situation before it caused further damage. Officials are expected to examine the cause of the fire after completing their assessment.
Incidents involving kitchen fires often occur due to gas leaks, electrical faults, or safety issues. Therefore, experts emphasize the importance of regular inspections and proper fire safety arrangements in commercial buildings.
Previous Lahore Hotel Fire Incident
The latest incident comes months after a deadly fire at a hotel in Lahore’s Gulberg area in January 2026. The earlier fire claimed the lives of three people at the Indigo Hotel.
Punjab Rescue 1122 spokesperson Farooq Ahmed said the victims included Shehreyar, around 25 years old, Imran, around 30 years old, and Riaz, around 30 years old.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also shared updates about the hotel fire on social media platform x. She posted a video message from Rescue 1122 Director General Rizwan Naseer.
In the video, Rizwan Naseer described the rescue operation as “difficult.” He explained that the building had 21 floors, including three underground levels.
The recent restaurant fire ended without casualties, highlighting the importance of quick emergency response. Authorities continue to stress the need for improved fire safety measures in commercial buildings across Lahore.
