QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir on Monday stated that externally sponsored terrorism, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns cannot obstruct Pakistan’s destined rise.
He made these remarks while addressing officers and troops of formations deployed in Balochistan during an official visit to Quetta. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he also interacted with faculty members at the Command and Staff College and reviewed the operational environment in the region.
Focus on Training and Modern Warfare Challenges
During his address, Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the Command and Staff College for maintaining high standards of training, intellectual rigor, and professionalism. Moreover, he noted that its graduates continue to deliver exceptional performance across various military assignments.
He emphasized the rapidly changing nature of modern warfare and highlighted the importance of adapting to emerging technologies. In addition, he urged officers to strengthen preparedness for multi-domain operations, enhance tri-services synergy, and anticipate future battlefield challenges effectively.
He further advised continuous training and professional development to ensure that troops remain capable of responding to evolving security threats while maintaining operational excellence.
Commitment to Stability and Counterterrorism Efforts
While interacting with deployed formations in Balochistan, the army chief reviewed the current security situation and reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces, alongside the public, remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism across the country.
Furthermore, he stated that hostile forces attempting to undermine Pakistan’s progress through proxies and propaganda would ultimately fail due to national resilience and unity. He also stressed that lasting peace in Balochistan depends on inclusive development, improved governance, and a people-centric approach alongside security measures.
Additionally, he appreciated the efforts of the Government of Balochistan in promoting socio-economic development and strengthening ties between the state and local communities. He also commended the morale, professionalism, and operational readiness of troops deployed in the province.
