The Federal Board of Revenue has appointed senior Inland Revenue officer Saadia Sadaf Gilani as its new intelligence chief.
Gilani, a BS-22 officer, will head the Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue) in Islamabad.
She will assume charge of the new position from October 1, according to the notification. Before this appointment, Gilani was serving as a Member at FBR headquarters in Islamabad.
Saadia Sadaf Gilani Gets New FBR Role
Gilani has now been assigned the top position at the Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue).
The directorate handles several functions linked to tax intelligence and revenue protection.
These responsibilities include financial investigations, economic and fiscal intelligence, and identifying possible revenue losses.
The directorate also works on matters involving tax-related intelligence and potential revenue leakages.
Therefore, Gilani’s new assignment places her at the head of an important FBR intelligence body.
Aqeel Ahmed Siddiqui Gets New Assignment
The FBR has also reassigned Aqeel Ahmed Siddiqui as part of the latest changes.
Siddiqui, a BS-21 officer of the Inland Revenue Service, has been posted as Member (Administration/HR) at FBR headquarters.
He will also assume charge of his new position from October 1.
Previously, Siddiqui was serving as Director General of the Directorate General of Intelligence & Investigation (Inland Revenue).
His new appointment follows Gilani’s selection to lead the directorate.
