A family dispute in Swat’s Kabal Bazaar turned deadly after a man allegedly shot his father before taking his own life.
The incident occurred following a heated argument between the man, identified as Adnan, and his father, Bakht Karam. According to police, the dispute began over a minor issue the previous day.
Father dies after being shot
Police said Adnan allegedly opened fire with a pistol during the dispute, seriously injuring his father.
Bakht Karam was later taken for medical treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries after the shooting.
The incident has since raised questions about what led to the violent confrontation between the father and son.
Man takes his own life
Soon after allegedly shooting his father, Adnan reportedly turned the weapon on himself. He sustained fatal injuries and died following the incident.
Local residents said Adnan was allegedly addicted to drugs. However, police have not yet confirmed whether drug use played a role in the shooting.
