Van-Life Makes Maddie Taylor Millionaire in the USA: What is the Cost of Starting Van-Life?

Van-Life makes Maddie Taylor millionaire in the USA: Glimpses of her van-life

Maddie Taylor has become a millionaire by adopting van life in the United States. Before starting her van life, Maddie saved a few thousand dollars as a waitress during her two-year job on a part-time basis.

Maddie Taylor drives a 136 Ram Promaster van. It was previously a handyman van that was converted into her home on wheels, including a ventilated roof.

Her van is 2500mm high. She opted for a higher van like this as it allows for the full standing room when cooking. Her height is 5′ 9″ after all.

She did the bulk of her fit-out herself and also got some help from her brother and friends. Her dream was to create a home, rather than a vehicle.

That said, she doesn’t have a functional shower or toilet on board.

Maddie made several upgrades to her van and the only thing that’s really missing is a heater for those cold mountain mornings.

Maddie saved for a couple of years while working part-time as a waitress to purchase her van for $7,500. Her fit-out cost an additional $3,200, plus an additional $900 in mechanical repairs. Not a bad outcome for $12,600! Today, she’s wealthier than many assume.

Maddie Taylor has a net worth of $570,000 USD in 2023

This is based on the value of her van, camera equipment, and online business. Despite having enough money to purchase a house, she prefers the freedom that comes from van life.

Maddie Taylor is one of the few success stories of van life in the United States. Her experience is the best example for those who are keen to explore van life in a country with a friendly environment.
