The Palestinian Ambassador has expressed heartfelt gratitude for Pakistan’s steadfast support as the country dispatched its 13th shipment of humanitarian aid to the war-affected population of Gaza. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) coordinated the delivery following instructions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
This latest shipment includes 100 tones of winterized tents and blankets, set to be transported from Islamabad to Amman, Jordan, for those in need in Gaza on Saturday.
The send-off ceremony took place at Islamabad International Airport and was attended by Advisor on Legal Affairs Barrister Aqeel Malik, Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Zuhair M. H. Darzaid, as well as representatives from the NDMA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
To date, Pakistan has delivered a total of 1,381 tonnes of relief supplies to assist the people of Gaza and Lebanon. The Palestinian Ambassador conveyed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s unwavering humanitarian assistance, highlighting that this solidarity during challenging times serves as a beacon of hope and strengthens the bond between the two nations. He emphasized that the aid is not just essential supplies but also a powerful message of compassion and unity.
