The viral sensation “Pasoori” which captivated audiences in Pakistan and India, dominating charts for months, has now made its mark overseas especially in the United Kingdom.
On the social media platform X, the British High Commission in Pakistan stunned Pakistanis by sharing the video.
The British High Commission invited Pakistanis to guess the tune, sparking enthusiastic participation and appreciation for the band’s efforts.
Surprisingly, the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC), the British Army’s oldest surviving regiment, has skillfully mastered the iconic “Pasoori” tune, replicating its essence through their trumpets.
What is Pasoori?
“Pasoori” is a Punjabi term translating to “a complex situation.” The song Pasoori made its debut in the 14th season of Coke Studio Pakistan last year.

The track achieved monumental success in India, amassing millions of views, reigning atop music charts for weeks, and inspiring a wave of adaptations and tributes.
“Pasoori” received praise for its “joyful sounds,” “earworm tune,” “catchy melody, lyrics…and impeccable performances by the artists,” and for “the balance between modern and old school sounds.”
The vocal chemistry between Ali Sethi and Gill was also met with positive feedback, with Gill’s “smoky voice”.
