Actress and model Ushna Shah shared her views on wearing the hijab, emphasizing that it is a personal choice and should not be used to judge a person’s character.
In a recent interview, she expressed that people often associate wearing hijab with being a good person, but she believes that one’s clothing does not define their morality.
Talking about the reason for holding up the snaps she said that people think that if you wear hijab or covered clothes then you become a good person. Presenting the contrasting views of society she added: “If you wear lehenga choli or sleeveless in your marriage then you are the opposite of good.”
She shared her perspective that the choice of clothing should not be the criteria for judging someone’s character.
According to Ushna Shah, wearing a hijab is a personal decision and a matter between an individual and God, and others should not interfere.
She acknowledged the comfort and style of modest clothing, stating that it has its advantages, such as liberating individuals from concerns about weight gain and hairstyling.
