TikToker Mahek Bukhari and her Mother jailed for life for crash murders

Mahek Bukhari, a social media sensation, and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for their involvement in a brutal double murder case. Mahek and Ansreen Bukhari recruited mobsters before killing Saqib Hussain and Hashim Ijazuddin in a road accident after Hussain threatened to reveal an affair with Ansreen.

The motive behind this tragic incident stems from a love triangle that went terribly wrong. Saqib Hussain had threatened to reveal an affair with Ansreen, who was 46 years old at the time.

The Bukharis devised a plan to meet Saqib in a Tesco car park, where they promised to reimburse him the £3,000 he had spent on Ansreen during their relationship. Their intention was to confiscate Saqib’s phone. They believed there were explicit pictures of Ansreen on the phone.

However, a gang of masked individuals recruited by the Bukharis ambushed Saqib and his friend Hashim, escalating the situation. This led to a harrowing high-speed chase along the A46, with speeds reaching up to 90mph. Tragically, the victims lost control of their vehicle, colliding with a tree, and the car subsequently caught fire, claiming their lives.

Disturbing Family Dynamics

Judge Timothy Spencer KC characterized the case as a “tale of love, obsession, and extortion,” leaving no room for ambiguity as he labeled it “cold-blooded murder.” He also underscored the role of social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram in Mahek Bukhari’s life.

Speaking directly to Mahek, Judge Spencer commented on her “self-obsession” and “twisted values,” emphasizing her apparent disregard for the consequences of her actions on others.

Judge Spencer also noted how Ansreen was lured into the “glamour” of her daughter’s social media career, a stark divergence from her usual role as a mother and homemaker. He pointed out that Ansreen’s involvement strayed far from her typical responsibilities.

During the trial, the victims made emotional statements, illustrating the profound impact of the incident on their lives. Sikandar Hayat, Mr. Ijazuddin’s father, expressed shock at the defendants’ failure to summon emergency services after the crash.

Rekan Karwan and Raees Jamal, accomplices of the culprits, also received sentences for their involvement in the double murder. It is worth noting that Raees Jamal was already serving a sentence for rape.
