Shoaib Malik, Sania Mirza Divorced? What went wrong?

One of the most well-known couples who found love across the border is Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik. The couple, who have been together for more than ten years, is rumoured to follow different paths in their lives.

Although it’s not what their fans want, Shoaib Malik’s past relationships show that it wasn’t all that great.

In a previous interview, Sania Mirza disclosed that the couple first met in Hobart, Australia. She claimed that Malik set up the meeting, and their friendship deepened as a result.

She mentioned that she met her husband when they were both going through difficult times professionally in her autobiography, Ace Against Odds.

The cricketer was serving a one-year suspension. Mirza was also going through a career dry run.

When the couple announced their engagement, several disputes ensued.

It was claimed that Malik was already married to Ayesha Siddiqui from Hyderabad, India, when he arrived in India in 2010 to marry Sania Mirza.

The woman had reported the Pakistani cricketer to the police for cheating on her.

But in the end, the conflict was resolved.

After dating for five months, Malik and the tennis star got married in April 2010 at the Taj Hotel in Hyderabad, India.

They held a Valima reception in Lahore to extend their wedding festivities.

The couple settled in Dubai, where they first met while dating because Pakistan and India don’t have good relations.

The couple welcomed a boy into the world on October 30, 2018, and they gave him the name Izhaan.

“I am excited to announce that it’s a baby boy, and my girl is doing great and staying strong as usual,” Malik wrote in a social media post, informing their followers. We appreciate your good thoughts and prayers; we are grateful.

Due to travel restrictions brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the couple learned what it was like to be forced to be apart from one another. While Mirza was in India, Malik was stranded in Pakistan.

It has not been easy for me to stay away from Shoaib and, in particular, for Izhaan to stay away from his father, Mirza said in an interview as she expressed her sorrow. I am eager to reunite with my family in one location once more.

The couple was last spotted together in Dubai while the boy’s birthday was being celebrated.

As he wrote alongside photos of his family celebrating his birthday, Malik said, “As you were born, we became more humble and life meant more special to us. While we may not be together and meet every day, your Baba is always thinking about you and your smile every second. May Allah give you everything you ask for, Izhaan. Baba & Mama love you.”

After Izhaan’s birthday, there are numerous reports of their breakup. The fact that none of them have denied them worries their admirers (so far).

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza have recently officially broken up, according to a source close to the couple who recently spoke to the Indian news channel Zee News. Only formalities remain, the source said.
