Sanam Jung Speaks Out Against Online Harassment

Pakistani actress Sanam Jung has addressed a recent incident of online harassment, taking to Instagram to share her experience and raise awareness about cyberbullying.

The acclaimed actress, known for her roles in popular dramas such as Mein Na Janoo, Qaraar, and Dil-e-Muztar, revealed that she had been targeted by a social media user who sent her inappropriate messages. Feeling the need to take a stand, she decided to make the matter public.

In her Instagram post, Sanam Jung shared a screenshot of the offensive messages, stating that she had initially given the individual an opportunity to apologize. However, after receiving no response, she chose to speak out. She wrote:

“Waited too long for you to apologize. Really wanted to show the world your face and the kind of crap you wrote. I have a full-size picture of yours but I decided not to disclose it in order to give you a second chance, but I hope after sharing this screenshot of yours you will never approach a woman like this ever again in your life.”

Through this statement, Sanam Jung aims to highlight the importance of respecting others online and hopes her experience will discourage similar behavior in the future. She also called for greater awareness about the effects of online harassment, particularly on women.

A beloved figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry, Sanam Jung has captivated audiences with her performances in Muhabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai and Mere Humdam Mere Dost, as well as her tenure as the host of Jago Pakistan Jago.

The actress has been on a break from acting since welcoming her second child, Alaiza, in July 2024, following the birth of her first daughter, Alaya. Despite her temporary hiatus, she continues to use her platform to address important social issues, including cyberbullying and women’s rights.
