Reason behind Khloe Kardashian’s face bandages

Khloe Kardashian is speaking out about the importance of getting skin cancer screenings after her own scare.

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old reality star revealed in an Instagram story that she recently had surgery to remove a tumour from her famous face.

Kardashian made the announcement after noticing “numerous stories going around about the ever-changing bandage on my face.”

Kardashian explained that she decided to have a “small bump” checked out seven months after realising it “wasn’t moving,” initially mistaking it for “something as minor as a zit.”

However, after consulting with two dermatologists and having two biopsies, Kardashian was advised to “have an immediate operation to remove a tumour” from her face, noting that what the doctors were seeing was “incredibly rare for someone my age.”

On the following slide, the mother of two expressed her gratitude to her surgeon.

She wrote, “All my margins are clear, and we are now moving on the healing process.” You’ll still see my bandages, and when I’m permitted, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumour being removed), but in the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy how amazing I’m making my face bandages seem.

Kardashian may be seen in one selfie with a tiny white bandage covering her right cheek.

The founder of Good American stated in later reports that she is sharing her experience in order to “remind everyone to get tested, and frequently.”

Even people who are not predisposed to skin cancer should “be checking all the time,” according to Kardashian, who revealed that she had a melanoma removed from her back when she was 19 years old.

She remarked, “I was fortunate in that all I have is a scar to tell a story with. “I am constantly grateful because other people aren’t as fortunate as me.”
