Miss Pakistan 2023 to represent Pakistan in Miss World Tourism in Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD: Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala, recently crowned Miss Pakistan Universal 2023, is set to represent her country in the inaugural Miss World Tourism 2023 pageant held in Sri Lanka.

With great excitement, Dr. Kapotaqkhy expressed her honor in being chosen as the Pakistani representative among 40 queens from around the globe competing in Sri Lanka.

As she prepared for her journey, Dr. Kaotaqkhy eagerly shared her dedication to this international pageant. Her meticulous preparations encompassed selecting the perfect attire, rehearsing questions and answers, and showcasing her talent by performing a Pakistani song.

With utmost determination, she aimed to represent Pakistan with excellence on the global stage, recognizing the significance of promoting her country internationally.

Scheduled to take place from July 20 to 30, the Miss World Tourism 2023 pageant in Sri Lanka garnered attention from Tourism State Minister Diana Gamage.

She highlighted the participation of international contestants, acknowledging that some might be unfamiliar with the country and its people.

Nonetheless, the competition promised to gather exceptional representatives from abroad who would vie for the highly coveted crown.

Collaboratively, the relevant ministry and the Tourism Promotion Bureau joined forces to orchestrate this extraordinary 11-day extravaganza, aiming to create a breathtaking spectacle for visitors.

Recognizing the influence of global travel influencers as pivotal figures in tourism promotion, Minister Gamage expressed enthusiasm for their involvement in the event.

The former Mrs. World Sri Lanka, Radika Gunawardhana, took charge of organizing the pageant, ensuring that the contestants enjoyed star-class accommodation, delectable Sri Lankan cuisine, and complimentary visits to various tourism destinations, along with other essential facilities.

Sonia Ahmed, the founder of Pakistan’s pageant industry, emphasized the significance of this event for both Pakistan and Sri Lanka. She recognized the transformative power of such gatherings in reshaping a country’s image on the global stage.

Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala, chosen as the ideal representative for this contest, would soon embark on another endeavor as she prepared for the Miss Earth 2023 pageant in Vietnam immediately following the Sri Lanka pageant.
