Pakistani actress, host, and activist Mishi Khan has once again raised concerns about the lack of accountability for abusive language on YouTube, calling for action against Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most prominent YouTubers.
Mishi Khan, known for her outspoken views on social and political issues, criticized the double standards in online content regulation. She questioned why Pakistani content creators using offensive language have not faced consequences, while similar incidents in India have sparked widespread backlash.
The controversy gained traction following a viral episode of India’s Got Latent, featuring Indian YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. The show’s inappropriate remarks led to significant criticism in India, with audiences demanding accountability. Drawing a parallel, Mishi Khan pointed out that Pakistani YouTubers, including Ducky Bhai, have also resorted to offensive language to gain views and engagement but have largely avoided repercussions.
Ducky Bhai, originally known for his roasting videos filled with harsh language, later transitioned to vlogging. However, Mishi Khan argued that past problematic content should not be overlooked. This is not the first time she has called him out—she previously criticized him during the Sham Idrees controversy.
While Ducky Bhai has shifted his content style, the debate over his earlier videos continues. Mishi Khan maintains that influencers should be held responsible for their words, regardless of when they were spoken.
Her remarks have reignited discussions on YouTube content moderation in Pakistan. Many social media users agree that online personalities should be more mindful of their influence and the language they use. Others, however, believe that creators like Ducky Bhai should not be judged solely on their past and that personal growth should be acknowledged.
As the debate unfolds, Mishi Khan’s statements have once again highlighted the broader issue of responsible content creation in the digital age.
