Someone tweeted that veteran actor Mahmood Aslam had passed away on social media.
In response to this false news, the actor who starred in Bulbulay posted a video to share that he was alive, healthy, and safe, contrary to what was trending online.
He further criticised the report and urged people to avoid posting such sensitive news without verifying it.
Later on, Aslam utilized Instagram to refute the rumors about his demise. In the one-minute clip, he stated, “I’m Mahmood Aslam, breathing, fit, and alive in front of you. A few hours ago, someone reported on social media that I had passed away. For God’s sake, I want to request whoever spreads this news not spread it without verifying it. I am sitting in front of you, healthy and alive.”

In addition, he expressed that engaging in such insensitive behavior may be amusing for some, but it can be devastating for those who are associated with the actor.
He exclaimed, “If not for me, please consider my friends, family, relatives, and fans and how they would feel after reading this unverified news. You can post about people who have passed away so that everyone can grieve them, but please do not post false news about those who are still alive.”
“I created this video to inform all of you not to believe the news. I am alive and well. And I would like to ask the individuals behind the false news to stop their malicious attempts. Please think ten times before doing such a thing. It might be enjoyable for you, but it is not a joke. Fans and families could be affected in the worst possible way,” Aslam added. The actor who played a role in the TV show “Fraud” concluded by asking for prayers for himself and for those who spread false rumors about him.
This is not the first instance where celebrities have been victims of death hoaxes.
