Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan recently shared a playful video on her Instagram reels, contemplating getting her nose pierced despite her mother’s reservations.
Despite her extensive experience in both small and big screen projects, including Bollywood, Mahira has never taken the step to pierce her nose, a common tradition and fashion statement among women in South Asia.
Sharing a selfie video adorned with a nose ring and Instagram music, the “Superstar” actor took to the popular image and video sharing platform to express her thoughts.
In the caption, Mahira revealed her desire to get her nose pierced while also humorously imagining the response from her mother on the matter.
“Me – Ama, should I get my nose pierced?
Ama – If your nose were smaller, I’d say yes!” she wrote alongside the video.
The video received nearly 90k likes and garnered hundreds of comments from Mahira Khan’s admirers, praising her beauty. Among the commenters were Pakistani celebrities such as Sanam Jung, Mawra Hocane, Musaddiq Malik, renowned stylist Tariq Amin, and Mahira’s own makeup artist, Babar Zaheer.
Sanam shared a similar anecdote about discussing nose piercing with her father, resulting in the “Dil-e-Muztar” star never going through with it. Meanwhile, Mawra expressed solidarity with Mahira, stating she faced similar dilemmas.
