The Pandemic did not only acquit us with new precautionary measures or make us implement the necessary cleanliness and hygiene practices which we never took as seriously before, but it has also gotten us a passport of its own, that is, to travel interstate or internationally, but we also have to have a COVID passport that ensures we are virus-free owing to the risk one infected person has on a huge proportion of a population without the vaccination which is yet to come. The passport is an immunity passport or can be considered as an immunity certificate that offers digital proof via the QR code of a person being COVID-free.
Other COVID technology includes social distancing tools such as ‘Contact Tracing apps’ to know which person was the source of infection. These apps come with privacy concerns but also with the hope of lifting the quarantine rules or making them flexible because clearly a large proportion of masses, regardless of their financial situation or occupation have trouble staying at home for different reasons.
